Lutheran Interparish School (LIS) is accredited by the state of Iowa and National Lutheran School Accreditation (NLSA). The school was founded in 1967 and has been educating children for over 40 years. A new building and internal remodeling project was completed in 2002. Our main focus is educating the whole child and this includes their spiritual development. We believe that, through their faith, children will grow in knowledge and their values will reflect the morals that are sadly lacking in our society today.
Along with excellence in the classroom, our students have access to various extra-curricular activities. Our students have the opportunity to play flag football, tackle football through our public school, soccer, volleyball, basketball, softball, baseball and track. We also offer band, choir, musicals and drama throughout the school year for those interested in the arts.
We believe that our parents should have the chance to be involved with their children's education as well. We have a whole litany of choices for our parents to choose from. Some volunteer in their child's classroom, while others may work on one of our many school-wide or community events. Our PTL is instrumental in supporting many of our programs and is always looking for new parents and ideas.
As you can see, a child at Lutheran Interparish will have every opportunity to achieve great things both in the classroom and out. If you are new to the area or would just like to have more information, please contact the school or stop by. We would love to meet you and share our vision with you.
