POINSETTIA/WREATH/GARLAND SALE & ANNUAL CARD/ GIFT/WRAPPING SALE:

SEPTEMBER 22nd - OCTOBER 17th.

LIS begins its annual Christmas sales of poinsettias, wreaths, garland, Christmas cards, wrapping paper and other gift ideas from the Kleinhenn Company on  Friday, September 22nd.  The sale runs through Tuesday, October 17th, when all orders are due to the school office.

Profits from the sale of these items will support student programming at LIS;  field trips, bus fees, special assemblies, student activities, and supplying treats for the students.

With the earlier start date, we are confident that orders will be delivered right before Thanksgiving break.  Both fundraisers hold great Christmas gift ideas!    For more information on how to place an order contact the school office.

We are asking for a few volunteers to help on pick-up day, Tuesday, November 21st.  If you are able to assist, please Fast Direct Carol Meyer.

VOLUNTEER HOURS:

The Board of Directors has set aside funds during the 2017-2018 school year to offset tuition for Kindergarten - 8th grade students of LIS.  Parents may earn a $250.00 credit off of their 2017-2018 tuition ($10.00 per hour/25 hours) by recording their volunteer hours in the school office.   Each family must record their own hours in the binder.   If you are looking for ideas of how you can volunteer at LIS, there is a list in the school office.

P.T.L. CORNER:  OUR NEXT PTL MEETING of the year is scheduled for  TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 26th at 6:45 p.m.  WE HOPE EVERY FAMILY WILL BE REPRESENTED!   We plan on having a DVD playing for your kids to watch during the meeting.  It should last about an hour.    Our PTL does a great deal to help support the mission of Lutheran Interparish and to help provide funds for our school program.     We hope to see you there!

SCHOOL PICTURES are being sent home with your child.  If you are not satisfied with the quality of your child's pictures, please return them to the school office, and your child will be able to have them retaken on Picture Retake Day, Tuesday, October 17th.

NEEDED: FLAG FOOTBALL REFS
LIS 5th-8th grade boys are in a flag football league. This year we are in need of officials as well. Common knowledge of the game is important, but finer points of the game aren't as critical. One ref who has done this awhile is already committed. We do have rules sheets and cheat sheets for penalties as well. Please consider helping out.
Game dates are Oct 12 @ 4:15, Oct 17 @ 4:15, and

Oct 23 @ 4:45.
Contact Andy Armbrecht with questions or interest.
