PASTOR SEARS – MINISTRY ANNIVERSARY

30 years ago this month Pastor Sears graduated from the Seminary and began his Ministry.  He has served almost 21 of those years at Trinity Lutheran Church in Conroy, Iowa.  The congregation is planning a simple recognition for him after the Divine Service on the 20th of May.    Families of L.I.S. are invited to attend this service and/or send cards of recognition to Pastor Sears for his dedicated service to the Lord.

This past Wednesday, our students celebrated both Pastor Sears birthday and acknowledged his years of service as Pastor, after chapel.   We praise God for the leadership that Pastor Sears offers us here at LIS, to Trinity, Conroy, to the Williamsburg area, and to the Church at large.

THE IDE TRACK MEET IS  TOMORROW!

There are still a few tasks EVERYONE can do!

#1  -  Pray for good weather -  That the rain can come later in the day on Saturday  (According to thy will, Oh God!)

#2  -  Also pray:  That we can have a safe, and enjoyable track meet where everyone can use their God-given talents!

For those who have signed up to help:  THANK YOU!

ADDITIONAL TRACK MEET HELP:   If you are still willing to help at the track meet tomorrow, don't hesitate to come and lend a hand!  Meet at the High School at 8:30 a.m. and talk to Andy or Donna Armbrecht or Peggy Grimm and they will find something for you to do....still tasks to keep someone busy for the day.
